- National book launch by His Excellency Malcolm McCusker, AC CVO QC, Governor of Western Australia of 2009 Visiting Scholar Bob Wurth's book The Battle for Australia, 7 November 2013. Bob Wurth's historic biography The Battle for Australia won the first prize for non-fiction in the national literary awards sponsored by the Fellowship of Australian Writers in 2014.

- The Fremantle Candidate, a play by 2010 JCPML Visiting Scholar Ingle Knight, was the Anniversary event for 2012. The play ran from 19 July to 5 August at PICA. Ingle Knight was the winner of the 2012 WA Premier's Book Awards script category for the play The Fremantle Candidate.

- Launch of WA Cultural Heritage Portal at UWA, 21 April 2005
The portal is a partnership between the University of WA, Curtin University of Technology and the WA Dept for Culture and the Arts, funded by the Australian Research Council's Linkage Infrastructure and Equipment Fund. Professor Richard Nile and Kandy-Jane Henderson from Curtin are both Chief Investigators for this grant. - World premiere of play Shadow of the Eagle in Western Australia. Produced by the Perth Theatre Company in association with JCPML and first performed at the Playhouse Theatre in Perth on 24 May 2003, the play focusses on the historic first meeting between US General Douglas MacArthur and Australian Prime Minister John Curtin in March 1942. Shadow of the Eagle programme.
