• Seventh JCPML Anniversary Lecture by Dr Ashton Calvert, 5 July 2005, A confident and distinctive foreign policy.
• Launch of WA Cultural Heritage Portal at UWA, 21 April 2005
  The portal is a partnership between the University of WA, Curtin University of Technology and the WA Dept for Culture and the Arts, funded by the Australian Research Council's Linkage Infrastructure and Equipment Fund. Professor Richard Nile and Kandy-Jane Henderson from Curtin are both Chief Investigators for this grant.
• Sydney launch of Curtin's Gift: Reinterpreting Australia's greatest prime minister authored by JCPML Visiting Scholar Dr John Edwards, 11 March 2005.

  To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the death of John Curtin, limited edition stamp sheets were issued by Australia Post in 2005.

• JCPML public lecture by Professor Marilyn Lake John Curtin: Internationalist 9 October 2003.
• World premiere of play Shadow of the Eagle in Western Australia. Produced by the Perth Theatre Company in association with JCPML and first performed at the Playhouse Theatre in Perth on 24 May 2003, the play focusses on the historic first meeting between US General Douglas MacArthur and Australian Prime Minister John Curtin in March 1942. Shadow of the Eagle programme.
