The Curtin family lived between the river and the sea. There were family outings to both Cottesloe Beach and the sandy beaches along the Swan River at Peppermint Grove. This footage gives a glimpse of families enjoying the beaches along the Swan River in the area of Peppermint Grove Beach and Mosman Bay around 1938. Peaceful scenes of the beach at Cottesloe from the same period follow.
