The open observation platform of the 'Prince of Wales' carriage provides a delightful viewing spot for this little girl as the train travels through spinifex on the Nullarbor Plain.

Both passenger and freight trains used the lines and trains met and passed at loops constructed at intervals along the track from Port Augusta to Kalgoorlie.
