Monday

Elsie Dear,

We have won! won! won! — It seems a wonderful dream & half the time I am afraid
I will wake up to the stern reality of disaster.

The Anzac vote is a pronouncedly anti-vote! Think of it! Victoria is eleven
thousand to the bad, — we may make good the deficiency yet. Q'ld will better
the disclosed vote & all is well.

I am due at a dozen places, awfully tired but quite content.

We have to hold on now for dear life.

Jack
