The JCPML offers a range of exciting education programs including onsite, online and travelling programs targetting primary, secondary and tertiary students as well as groups and individuals within the wider community.

Programs for West Australian students are tailored to suit the WA curriculum and include role plays, drama activities, document studies, visits to the major exhibition and self-contained treasure box activities.

There's a range of online resources of relevance to Australian teachers and students with themes related to Australia's history and politics. The resources provide access to primary source documents including photographs, documents and oral histories and feature engaging and educational online activities suitable for a variety of age levels. Students can also be introduced to the world of archives through exploring the resource Understanding society through its records and via activities related to the JCPML Electronic Research Archive (ERA).

Educational publications for schools include the popular, freely downloadable, Cartoon PD in a Package - a great resource which assists teachers and students to interpret political cartoons.

The JCPML actively supports the National History Challenge for Australian schools, sponsoring a special category prize each year.
