JCPML Foundation Archivist - Kandy-Jane Henderson

As the Foundation Archivist of the JCPML, Kandy-Jane undertook responsibility for the development and management of the JCPML’s research and public programs.
Prior to this appointment Kandy-Jane held a number of senior positions at the Public Records Office of Western Australia with responsibilities for private archives and government recordkeeping services.
In 1996 she was made a Laureate of the Australian Society of Archivists for her commitment to the archives profession and archival education in Western Australia. In July 2001 Kandy-Jane was one of four Commissioners appointed to the newly established Western Australian State Records Commission.
In 2002 Kandy-Jane was awarded a Centenary Medal in recognition of her services to the community as Archivist of the JCPML.
Kandy-Jane played a pivotal role in the establishment of the JCPML and its subsequent development and achievements in its first decade. Her contribution to the JCPML and the University was further recognised in 2007 by the award of Curtin University of Technology Fellow.
